Lindbergh was built in 1928 and sits on approximately 6.3 acres of land. If the bond is approved, students from Lindbergh would be combined with Howard in a new preschool through eighth grade building on the Howard site. For an overview, see the one-page Lindbergh-Howard flyer.
Lindbergh would be kept and renovated for other purposes, possibly an early childhood center offering preschool classes. Those renovations are planned for Phase 3 in years 10 to 15 of the bond.

Build a new Howard-Lindbergh preschool through eighth grade school. Students from both schools would be merged into the new building on the Howard Elementary School site. Estimated cost: $105,000,000

About PK-8 schools
Creating preschool-through eighth grade buildings will allow students and families to form strong bonds while remaining in their neighborhood school for much longer. Elementary and middle school students would be separated for classes, meals, recess, lineup, and dismissal, but all students could use special spaces like STEM labs, music rooms, and gymnasium-auditoriums. An ADA accessible pool would also be included and a turf athletic field.
Students and families would benefit from staying in the same neighborhood school for up to 10 years – from free GSRP preschool through eighth grade.
